Secure, Comfortable Implant-Supported Dentures

Overdentures

Be confident with implant-supported dentures

Overdentures securely attach to dental implants instead of resting only on your gums, providing improved chewing ability, enhanced comfort, and better stability than traditional dentures while offering a more affordable alternative to fixed full-arch implant restorations.

What Are Overdentures?

Overdentures are removable dentures that snap securely onto dental implants instead of resting solely on the gums. They provide significantly more stability, better chewing power, and comfort than traditional dentures, while costing thousands less than permanent, fixed implant bridges.

Benefits of Overdentures

  1. No Adhesives Required
The snap-on or clip-in mechanism locks the denture in place, eliminating messy daily glues and frustrating slipping.
  2. Bone Preservation
Implants and natural roots stimulate the jawbone, preventing the sunken facial appearance and bone loss associated with conventional dentures.
  3. Improved Diet
Patients can bite and chew a wider variety of foods because the prosthesis is firmly anchored.
  4. Cost-Effective
They offer many of the functional benefits of fixed, full-mouth implants at a fraction of the cost.

What To Expect

1

Implant Placement

2 to 4 titanium implants are surgically placed into the jawbone.

2

Healing Phase

A temporary denture is typically worn while the implants fuse to the jawbone (osseointegration), which can take a few months.

3

Fitting

Once healed, customized abutments are attached to the implants and your final, custom overdenture is fabricated to snap onto them.

After Care and Maintenance

  1. Daily Removal
Unlike fixed bridges, overdentures must be taken out daily for cleaning and to give the underlying gum tissues a break.
  2. Wear and Tear
The small rubber or plastic attachment rings inside the denture (like Locator attachments) will wear out over time and require periodic replacement to maintain a tight grip.
  3. Routine Dental Care
You need to see your dentist once every 6 months to get your implants and dentures professionally cleaned.
